Hmmmm

So almost one year ago today I published a post. I don't know that anyone will view this post, except for my sister, since all the rest of you have probably given up on us by now. Thanks for believing in me that I would publish something again on the blog Jo. I should give you my password so that you can make my blog pretty. Here are a couple videos and pics of our daughter Everly Sue. She weighed 5 lb 13oz at birth. She has been a lot of fun, but the last few days she has been a bit of a cranky bug. When she cries I think she sounds like one of those birds from the rainforest--if anyone knows what those birds are called let me know. :)

We're still alive!

Zane and I are doing really well. We just bought our first home in Promontory, Utah (right by Thiokol). We are in the process of getting some new flooring and paint for the house. It has been exciting and really busy getting it all together. I am still in school and will be for another 2 years or so until I finish my degree. I have a job at an elementary school as a speech teacher and I love the kids. The job is a challenge sometimes, but also very rewarding. Parent teacher conferences are coming up and I'm a little nervous :). Zane has a new job delivering milk to Gossner's and he loves it. Halloween wasn't too exciting around here. Mom and Zane were busy packing all of our belongings away while I worked on a test that was due at midight (I finally got it in at 11:55). We're living with mom while we get our new paint and flooring in the house. I didn't have any good pictures to put up yet, but I did have a cute video of Zane playing with our neice Jerry Ann at grandma's house--enjoy!

IT'S HANG GLIDING SEASON!!!!!

Here are a few pics of Zane and his dad last summer enjoying a nice flight at the short divide in Plymouth, Utah.
(photos by Matt Shoemaker)

The good weather's here--so it's time to get serious about hang gliding. Zane and his dad like to go flying periodically during the summer. Zane has a new glider to fly with this year and is ready to go. He has some favorite spots in Brigham and Plymouth. Laura is the camara girl and drives the truck to pick them up after their flight. When we learn how--I think we need to fly tandum! That would be cool!

I am so stoked I have finally figured out how to use this place! Woo hoo! I will stop putting pictures up today, right after this one. This is when Zane and I went to hardware ranch this summer--this was my second blog that was one sentence long. I felt I owed it to you all to put it up, since I mentioned it, but never showed it. We had a ton of fun. I have never seen an elk before, so Zane decided to take me up there. There were a couple thousand elk counted that day--whoa! The best part, besides looking at the elk, was checking out the draft horses that were pulling us. They are huge! Well, I guess it is back to the homework for me--I still have quite a bit to go, just thought I would take a break :)

Zane is excited about his brand-new pigeon pen and the its three residents (pigeons, of course). For those of you who don't know, my husband is into pigeon racing--yes it is real and looks like it will be something we will really enjoy. It was a lot of hard work building the pen, but he loved every minute of it. He is ready to start their training, and they will be racing this August and September. We hope to be having a vacation this May before I start graduate school. We will have to see how far we get to go!

GRADUATION!!!

I have graduated finally from Utah State University!!! It feels really weird because I still have 2 finals to take. I actually walked in the Utah State University's Brigham City campus commencement ceremony, so I got to walk early. I feel free, but at the same time I don't--I still have two years (including 3 summers) of graduate school to take before I am completely finished. The best part about my graduate school program is that I am paid to do it. I will be working at Weber school district and this will be my very first full-time employment, which is a pretty scary feeling. I have been in school for such a long time, I hope I can hack it in the real world! I know this picture looks pretty random, it should be a picture of me graduating from college, but I haven't gotten any back from anyone. This is a picture of our house and our new car, which some of you haven't seen before.

We went to the harware ranch and it was a ton of fun!

Laura, Stacey and the little ones.

Zane on the slopes!

See the white dust in the shape of a bird--that was one of our pigeons that ran right smack into our window.

And here is a better picture of the damage to the window.

Name the out-of-control pigeon that broke our window.

We found this 'little' guy in our yard. He is larger than a dachshund.
